I see Windows 95 drivers listed on your site but I have Windows 98.
Windows 98 uses the same drivers as Windows 95, so any '95 driver from our site will work with '98.
I've downloaded the driver but I can't get my computer to recognize it.
Our drivers are compressed into a single file to make them easier to download. You need to run the file to uncompress it and create all of the individual files. You should do this is an empty subdirectory on your hard drive. After that, point to that subdirectory when you need to tell Windows where the driver is located. If you need help with this, contact someone locally with technical ability to assist you.
My printer is not listed on your page
We only provide printer drivers that we included with our printers. All other Windows Drivers for our printers are provided by Microsoft and are included with the original Windows installation CD-ROM/Diskettes.
My printer is listed in Windows 3.x, but my computer asks me for a diskette to install it.
All of the printer drivers for Window 3.x come on diskette 6 or 7 of the original Windows installation diskettes. If you do not have the diskette, you can download the needed file from Microsoft's Web Site, or call Microsoft to see if they still send Windows 3.x drivers out on diskette.
I bought a used computer and Windows was preloaded, but I did not get the CD-ROM/diskettes.
If someone sells you a computer with software loaded on the hard drive and does not provide you with the original installation media (CD-ROM or diskettes), this software is normally considered unlicensed (i.e., an illegal copy). Contact the seller to provide you with the original media, or you will need to buy a new copy.
I need a driver for DOS, Unix, etc.
DOS, Unix, and several other operating systems do not use a "common" printer drivers that all applications can use. In DOS and some other operating systems, each individual program has its own "printer drivers" built in. In this case, you must contact your software manufacturer for printer drivers. Alternatively, many Citizen printers can "emulate" another similar Citizen printer or a printer driver for another manuafacturer's printer. To identify which one you can use, refer to the "emulation" section in your user manual or the emulation reference guide in the technical support section here on the web site.
I need to obtain a replacement user manual for my printer
Our customer service centre is based in the United Kingdom and can supply users manuals from there. Alternatively, a local distributor can supply these manuals. Please take a look at our distrubutor list.
